Towergy develops and implements solutions for sustainable heating and cooling in urban areas: Where space is limited. Where there are not only energy-optimised new buildings, but also unrenovated older buildings. Where aesthetics are just as important as quiet operation.
Our product: the Climate Tower. In spring 2026, we will commission the prototype. Shortly afterwards, we will roll it out in various neighbourhoods.
Our company originated and is headquartered in Bremen. Towergy was established by Stadt.Energie.Speicher GmbH. Among other projects, the latter developed, built and commissioned at Bremen’s Überseeinsel what is arguably Germany’s most innovative energy concept.

“Sustainable heating requires smart systems”: Rolf Strauß is Professor of Energy Technology at Bremen University of Applied Sciences. Previously, he studied mechanical engineering and obtained his PhD at RWTH Aachen, before moving on to develop innovative heating technologies in industry – from heat pumps and ventilation systems to solar thermal energy. Today, he combines research and practical experience to promote a rapid and affordable transition to sustainable heating.

Since his studies at HAW Hamburg, he has been an enthusiastic mechanical engineer with major expertise in the wind industry. His current mission: Heat transition, everywhere!

Her focus: helping to shape the vertical heating transition in Germany and Europe.
